Berkvens can open more doors for you.
This starts by listening to what stakeholders in the market have to say and acquiring insight into the wishes and requirements of designers, building contractors and users, and using this to search for total solutions that can be implemented internationally and that are scalable. This therefore means continuous investment in product development and the optimisation of internal operating processes. Berkvens targets the same things that the company wishes to contribute to its customers' projects - improved process control, reduced failure costs and increased efficiency – in its own modern production plants.
Berkvens has invested in excess of 25 million euros over the last 10 years in its production facilities and machinery. Combined with integrated quality assurance (ISO 9001 and 14001, KOMO, CTBA), this has resulted in Berkvens attaining a leading position on the (inter)national construction market.
… and responsible
For Berkvens, sustainability is something obvious. We invest substantially in making our products sustainable in terms of their lifespan and environment-friendliness. Berkvens was the first European manufacturer to market an FSC-certified flat, coated door. At the present time, virtually all Berkvens' products have the FSC (mixed) label.
With the in-company developed Fitec, almost all our fire-resisting doors are FSC compliant. Fitec is a unique substitute for a hardwood framework, resulting in a significantly more environmentally friendly door. It is a composite sheet material. Fitec consists of various layers of fire- and moisture-resistant material.
Sustainability is also one of the starting points in Berkvens' production processes and, in this respect, we obviously also wish to meet the requirements of leading systems.
